Building a form
Question types, sections, design, versions, and previewing.
The editor
Open a form from Forms and choose Edit. The editor has three parts: the outline of sections and questions, the canvas showing the form as respondents see it, and side panels for settings, design, logic and integrations.
Question types
FormFlow offers a large set of field types. A few of the groups:
Text and contact: short text, long text, email, phone, URL, name, address, company, job title.
Numbers and dates: integer, decimal, currency, percentage, date, time, date range, duration.
Choice: single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, multi-select, image choice, ranking, matrix, Likert, yes/no.
Ratings: star rating, NPS, CSAT, CES, slider, emoji rating, opinion scale.
Commerce: products, quantity, coupon, payment, order summary, donation.
Other: file upload, signature, appointment, location, hidden fields, calculated fields, consent, repeating groups, custom widgets.
Each question can be required, have help text and its own validation (length limits, patterns, number ranges). Hidden fields capture values from the form link, and calculated fields compute from other answers.
Sections and pages
Group questions into sections. A form can show one question at a time, one section at a time, or everything on one page, depending on its layout setting.
Design
The design panel controls themes, colors, fonts (including custom fonts), backgrounds, media layouts, button style and alignment, question numbering, the progress indicator, and more. Pick a ready-made design to start, then adjust. Branding can be removed on plans that include it.
Versions and publishing
Edits go to the draft. Publish creates an immutable version; respondents and submissions are tied to the version they saw. Version history lets you review earlier versions and restore one.
Preview and test
Preview the draft before publishing. Logic tests let you check rules with sample answers without submitting anything.
Collaboration
Teammates in your workspace can edit forms according to their role (for example viewer, editor, admin).
